Embark on an unforgettable 12-day safari and cultural tour through Tanzania—an extraordinary journey that not only immerses you in the breathtaking beauty of Africa’s wildlife and landscapes, but also directly supports a meaningful cause. In partnership with Kibo Guides and Tanganyika Wilderness Camps, this special experience benefits the Maasai community in Elerai Village, located at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Led by expert KIBO guides, you'll explore world-renowned national parks, witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, and experience the thrill of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. This is more than just a safari—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference.
A portion of your trip cost will go directly toward supporting Engineers Without Borders–Santa Barbara Ventura’s clean water project in Elerai. Your participation helps bring accessible, sustainable water systems to over 3,000 Maasai residents, improving health and quality of life across the village and its sub-villages.​

ITINERARY SUMMER 2026

​​DAY 1 - ARRIVAL
​Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Guests are met and driven to RIVERTREES COUNTRY INN, a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Arusha.​
​
DAY 2 - VISIT ERANGAU COMMUNITY & GAME DRIVE
Transfer to Kambi ya Tembo Lodge (near Mt. Kilimanjaro); lunch; Evening game drive & wildlife walk; drinks + family-style dinner. Expect this day to be July 8th from talking with Sylvester.

DAY 3 - MORNING GAME DRIVE & SCHOOL VISIT
Early game drive; brunch; Maasai community visit—Visit Community; evening drinks by fire, family-style dinner.

DAY 4 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
​Full-day game drive through Tarangire; box lunch; transfer to Maramboi Tented Camp.
​
DAY 5 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK (Day 2)
Full-day game drive; relax by pool; evening BBQ; optional guided walking safari.
DAY 6 - LAKE MANYARA & TARANGINE PLAINS
Morning drives through Tarangire Plains and Lake Manyara; spot flamingos, tree-climbing lions; late lunch at Kitela Lodge; optional plantation tour, swim, spa; dinner.
DAY 7 - NGORONGO CRATER
Descend into crater for game viewing; explore crater wall; return dinner & overnight at Kitela Lodge.

DAY 8 - RELAXATION DAY AT KITELA
​Leisure day—swim, spa, walk to Karatu/Iraqw community; optional forest trek to Elephant Caves; dinner.
DAY 9 - SERENGETI FLIGHT & GAME DRIVE
30-min flight to Serengeti; full-day game viewing; transfer to Kubu Kubu Tented Camp; relax at pool.

DAY 10 - GAME DRIVE
Game Drive: Bush breakfast; or full-day game drive with picnic lunch; overnight at Kubu Kubu.

DAY 11 - GREAT MIGRATION EXPERIENCE
​Full day tracking wildebeest/zebra migration through central Serengeti; return to Kubu Kubu Camp.

DAY 12 - DEPARTURE DAY
Departure Day: Transfer from Serengeti back to Kilimanjaro (JRO) for flights home.​

Cost (based on 2025 rates): $5,350 per person + $3,000 tax-deductible donation to EWB-SBV for a total of $8,350. A single room is an additional $1500. For children under 15 year old, the price is $3,600, plus donation - 2026 pricing to be confirmed.
